Hockney Joiner
David Hockney is a famous artist and photographer.
One day he was creating a painting of a living room and wanted to take a photograph of the room to help him complete the painting at a later time. He noticed that he could take a photograph of a the whole room unless he used a wide angle lens, but wide angle lenses cause distortion. To get around this he took multiple polaroid pictures with each part of the room and stuck them together. He continued to use this technique on other subjects and it later became know as a 'Hockney Joiner'. |
